MUTING FAN
Muting Fan is a SoCal–based set artist working in theatre, film, television, and exhibitions. Originally from Beijing, China, he is currently pursuing an MFA in Scenic Design at the University of California, San Diego.
He has served as a Set Designer, Production Designer, Art Director, Assistant Art Director, and Assistant Set Designer in a variety of settings, ranging from the National Theatre of China to local theatres in San Diego and Los Angeles.
Before moving to the United States to pursue his master’s degree, Muting earned a bachelor’s degree in Stage Design from the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. He had already accumulated several years of professional experience in the Chinese theatre industry, along with over 15 years of fine art training and practice.
